Parenting Support

Dr. Cook works with parents of anxious children and teens to educate and support the parent making behavioral and emotional changes that reduce their child’s anxiety. This is primary done through the structured utilization of the SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) program from the Yale Child Study Center as a stand alone-treatment or through parenting sessions with pre-existing teen clients.

OCD does not exist in a vacuum; often, the entire family and/or relational system is impacted. Dr. Cook offers short-term or ongoing therapeutic support for individuals looking to better understand how OCD works, how it impacts the relational system, and how to support themselves and their loved one breaking out of OCD’s grasp.
